Things have been great lately.
My dad came home last Friday from the hospital, and we put up our Christmas tree and and all our Christmas decorations on Sunday. It's been a jolly Christmas season so far, and I've been having a good time spending time with family, friends, and attending holiday parties.
I also just found out yesterday that my whole company is going to lay off all of their temporary workers. This includes me, and I will be out of a job for a while. I see this as an interesting opportunity at this time. Although I was shocked at first when they told me, I know it's not something that I did, but rather where the company stands in this economy. My manager also said that I will be the first person she will call if something opens in the future. it does make me sad that I won't be working with the great team that i've been with; and I know that God's plans for me surpass my understanding. I got some great positive feedback from my manager on my performance at work, and how they truly fought to keep me on board.
During my time off it'll be nice to sleep in, work out, and spend time with family and friends. I don't know how long this will last, but regardless, I'll be applying for jobs regularly. I want to find something that won't be on a temporary basis, but rather a long term position that I can enjoy working at day after day.
I'm looking forward to a great holiday. I already have plenty of Christmas plans for this week that all started from last weekend. It's a busy time, and i'm also enjoying the joys that December brings.
