Life, lately

My life lately has been a whirlwind.

Since late July, to be exact. Everything that I do, it seems like, is dependent on how life is at home. My dad's illness changed my family life so drastically. To see the effects of cancer daily, is draining. The family's moods are all dependent on how my dad is feeling that day. If he's happy, we're happy. If he's miserable, we're struggling to stay positive.

I believe others find it hard to fully understand my life. I can't go out as much a I used to. My friends ask me to go out and do this and that where they just don't understand or can't comprehend that I can't go out when the health of my father is at a place that is not stable. My spare time at home is very rare... we have visitors all the time. The only time that I have for myself in the week is spent cleaning the house, running errands, and cooking for my mom and I. Yet people have the audacity to say that I don't make time for them, and I don't "hang out" with them like I used to.

I am praying for miracles. Praying that ridiculous prayer. Praying for things to be back to normal soon.

i'm sorry to hear about all this. I will continue to pray for a miracle and that things stay on the positive side. And tell all the losers who say you don't make time for them that they need to get their heads outta their you know what's and stop being so selfish. Take care and all of that good stuff!

I will never full comprehend what it's like to have a parent with cancer, (let's hope I never do).But that person becomes your priority! It has too, I remember being that way with my grandpa.

I have been soo busy, I felt like I was the not hanging out with you or chelsea or anyone. Basically I felt like a total lame-o obsessed with grad school! Thus, Fri or Sat works for chelsea and I. How bout you let us know what is best for you! :) And if neither is good anymore that's okay too!!! Love you Akalina! Keep strong!
